WOMEN’S CLASSES

The A.D.A  women’s program is a unique martial arts system perfectly designed for women who are not physically strong or aggressive by nature. Sadly, many women have lived with the threat or reality of violence. Women’s classes teach tactics for responding to dangerous situations, with a focus on real-life scenarios common in domestic violence and sexual assault.

By training in a safe space, you can find inner strength that doesn’t rely on muscles and build calm, quiet confidence that radiates from the inside out. You’ll learn to remain steady under pressure, knowing you have developed vital skills that can assist you in all situations.

The classes focus on: –

  • Calm  –  To encourage inner peacefulness and tranquillity
  • Focus  –  To develop listening and reaction skills.
  • Relax  –  To reduce muscle tension
  • Self Defence  –  To protect against all styles of potential attackers

AAA CLASSES

Students attending adult A.D.A syllabus classes are eligible to attend Triple A Class (Assess, Alert, Act). Focused on putting curriculum moves into practice, AAA classes move at a faster pace through real world scenarios. You’ll practice staying calm while under attack from multiple opponents or when threatened with knives and other weapons.

By preparing for real life scenarios in a classroom setting you can learn to assess the situation, be alert and act accordingly.

CHI SAU

Chi Sau translates as ‘Sticking Hands’ (also known as ‘rolling’) and is a training drill designed to develop offensive or defensive close range reflex combat skills where there is physical contact between two or more people. A.D.A rolling differs from traditional Wing Chun through the use of the orientated low, medium-high and high guard positions (opposed to the traditional fook sau on one side and tan/bong sau on the other).

Chi Sau classes train you to find or create gaps within your opponent’s defence and strike through safely, while ensuring you don’t leave gaps where your opponent can strike back.

ABOUT THE ACADEMY

Our mission is to equip people with an evolved martial arts toolset that will be valuable throughout their lives. No prior knowledge of martial arts is required to train with us. As soon as you join an A.D.A class, you’ll learn unique, effective, practical skills. Our School provides a supportive, family-friendly and encouraging learning environment where students are taught the A.D.A discipline safely; with correct technique. We also teach traditional martial arts values including respect, restraint and self-control. Knowing when and how to walk away, defuse a situation or be able to defend yourself (if there’s no other option) is at the heart of the A.D.A system.

ABOUT A.D.A

A.D.A does not borrow from other martial arts, trying to incorporate them into a patchwork fashion. Such a system would merely be a list of disconnected techniques. Rather, A.D.A is a cohesive whole, developed by advancing and creating new Wing Chun principles, where every move exists in a logical framework, and its purpose and practical application are readily demonstrated.

A.D.A brings increased power to the traditional art of Wing Chun, with biomechanically informed application of torso, elbow, and forearm rotations.

ABOUT MASTER ROBERT

Master Robert Ardito’s Kung Fu training lineage traces back 300 years to the founder of Wing Chun – Ng Mei. With over 40 years of experience in multiple martial arts, including more than 25 years experience in traditional Wing Chun, Master Robert’s A.D.A system is a complete, refined and practical form of Kung Fu.

Trained under the late Grandmaster Jim Fung at the International Wing Chun Academy in Sydney, Master Robert achieved global recognition as a 3-time holder of the Guinness World Record for the most martial arts punches per minute (a staggering 805 punches per minute in 2009). Master Robert now divides his time between NSW and QLD, teaching his A.D.A system to students of all ages.

“A special thank you to my past Traditional Wing Chun Masters:

Sifu Master Jim Fung and Grandmaster Chu Shong Tin. With great respect to my past Masters whose knowledge and teaching was an essential part of the creation of what I developed and for which now is known to be A.D.A.”
